How it started
The Skits Summer Immersion Program is here! Over the last year, the education system has been thrown into a whirlwind. With schools closing down over a year ago, it has been a struggle for both parents and teachers to maintain children's education. That is why Skits has relaunched a new version of our STEM program, Math Mayhem. We strive to better the education of every kid in our community, and for that reason, we have a line up of dedicated high school students all ready to guide your kids in STEM through the trials of the pandemic.
Previous programs
In the past, we had a Math Mayhem program which focused on tutoring kids K-6 in everything math related. However, this year, we expanded our horizons. This year, we introduced the Skits Summer Immersion Program. This program not only tutors kids in math, but also chess, computer science, and more! With all of the exceptional kids at Whitney, we put together groups of tutors who can skillful teach on almost any STEM related subject!
Changes this year
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are unable to host in person classes, no matter how much it would be amazing to interact with bright and shining kids. Instead, we offer our virtual services. In classes which go for up to 7 weeks, we have tutors there to help your kids for an hour a week. Maybe even more if requested.
How to join!
Look on our website and find the "Summer Immersion" tab. This should take you to a page with all the information about our program, along with the registration link. Using this link, you can sign up your kid for as many classes he/she wants to take!
